Manage Data Usage - LG G Pad™ X8.3

To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.

Note Notes: 

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.

  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

 

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (at the bottom).
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings Settings icon.
  3. Tap Data Usage then do one of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
    1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon (to the right).
    2. Tap Change cycle.
    3. From the Usage cycle reset date screen, adjust the date of each month as desired then tap Set.
      Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
    1. Tap Alert me about data usage to enable or disable.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented with a Data usage alert message, tap OK.
    3. Drag the orange warning line to the desired level (e.g., 1.8GB) then release.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g. Browser, Email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Limit mobile data usage to enable or disable.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Drag the red limit line to the desired level (e.g., 2.0GB) then release.
