Data Roaming - BlackBerry®® (7.x and Lower)

These instructions help when you have no internet or network connection or can't send or receive email, text, pics or videos.

Caution Enabling data roaming may incur roaming charges.

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button Menu button.
  2. Select Options.
    Note If applicable, utilize the trackpad/trackball to highlight then press it to select.
  3. Select Mobile Network.
  4. Ensure Data Services is set to On.
  5. From the While Roaming field, select one of the following settings:
    On
    Data (e.g., email, web browsing, etc.) is enabled.
    Off
    Data is disabled.
    Prompt
    A prompt appears when not in a Verizon Wireless coverage area.
  6. Press the End button.

  1. From the Home screen All tray, select Options.
    Note To expand the tray, press the Menu button then select Open Tray.
    Note If applicable, utilize the trackpad/trackball to highlight then press it to select
  2. Select Networks and Connections.
  3. Select Mobile Network.
  4. Ensure Data Services is set to On.
  5. From the While Roaming field, select one of the following settings:
    On
    Data (e.g., email, web browsing, etc.) is enabled.
    Off
    Data is disabled.
    Prompt
    A prompt appears when not in a Verizon Wireless coverage area.
  6. Press the End button.
