Verizon Messages - Android™ Smartphone - Driving Mode

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your apps are up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • When Driving Mode is active;
    • Incoming message notifications are muted.
    • An automatic reply can be sent to the message sender.

 

  1. Tap the Message+ icon Message+ icon.
    Note If not available, navigate: Apps > Message+.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Tap Menu (upper-left).
  3. Tap Driving Mode to turn on or off.

  4. If prompted with the Driving Mode disclaimer, tap Close.
  5. Tap the Menu icon Tap Menu (upper-left).
  6. Tap Settings.

  7. Tap Driving Mode.

    • To set up a device to trigger Driving Mode:
      1. Tap Add a device.
        Note If prompted, tap Yes to allow access to the Bluetooth.

      2. Pair with a device.
    • To set up a device to turn driving mode on automatically, tap the switch on switch on or off switch off.
      Note Multiple devices may appear.

    • To send an auto-reply when Driving Mode is turned on;
      1. Tap Driving Mode Auto-Reply.

      2. Enter or edit an auto-reply for when Driving Mode is turned on then tap Save.

    • To change the auto-reply back to the default reply, tap Revert to Default Reply.
