Get help, answers, suggestions, recommendations, reminders and much more from Cortana, the personal assistant from Windows. With permission, Cortana keeps a notebook of things about you to keep track of your interests so she can learn and anticipate to give you tailored recommendations and suggestions.
From the Start screen, swipe left to display the Apps list.
Alternatively, tap All apps (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling).
Select an available option shown or tap Next.
To continue, review the Privacy Statement then tap Use Cortana.
Tap Yes to turn on Cortana.
At this point Cortana can be used by tapping the Microphone icon (located in the bottom-right corner).
To personalize Cortana, tap the Menu icon (located in the upper-left corner) then tap Notebook.
Select from the various options (e.g., Eat & drink, Events, etc.).
Tap the Back arrow in between options and when finished.
