Create or End Internet Connection - Windows® 8

Note If your device is not running Windows 8, refer to Windows 10 for further instruction.

  1. From the right edge of the screen, swipe left to display the charms menu.
    Note If using a mouse, move the pointer to the upper or lower-right corner of the Start screen then move up/down.
    Note Alternatively, press the Windows+C keys ( windows key logo+C) located on the physical keyboard (if available).

  2. Tap or click Settings.

  3. Tap or click the Wireless network icon Wireless network icon.
  4. Ensure that the Mobile broadband switch is on Switch On icon then select an available network (e.g., Verizon Wireless LTE) from the Mobile broadband section.
    Note Depending upon personalization options, the switch color may differ from the example depicted above.
  5. Tap or click Connect or Disconnect.
    Note If establishing a connection, the following settings can be selected (checked) prior to connecting:
    • Connect automatically
    • Roam automatically (may incur additional charges)
