Configure Sync Settings - BlackBerry® Desktop Manager (Windows®)

  1. Ensure the device is connected to the computer via the supplied USB cable.
  2. From the desktop, navigate: Start > All Programs (Programs) > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Desktop Software.
    Note With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon Apps Menu icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Desktop Software / Desktop Manager.
  3. From the left menu, click Organizer.
  4. From the Synchronization Settings section, click Configure settings.
  5. Select one of the following Device apps then click Setup:
    • Calendar
    • MemoPad
    • Address Book
    • Tasks
  6. Select the appropriate desktop app (e.g. Microsoft® Outlook) then click Next.
    Note The list of Available desktop apps may vary.
  7. Select one of the following synchronization options then click Next:
    • Two way sync:
      • Changes are synchronized to the device and desktop app.
    • One way sync from Device:
      Note If necessary, select (check) 'Replace all data in the target app' to overwrite the existing data when a sync is performed.
      • Changes are synchronized to the desktop app only.
    • One way sync to Device:
      • Changes are synchronized to the device only.
  8. Configure synchronization options as appropriate then click Next.
    Note Available options may vary depending upon the desktop app (e.g. Microsoft® Outlook, Windows Mail, etc.) being configured.
    Note If configuring a web-based desktop app (e.g. Yahoo!), click Options, enter the appropriate ID and Password then click OK.
    • Calendar
    • MemoPad
    • Address Book
    • Tasks
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 as necessary to configure additional device apps.
  11. Click OK.
