Reset Voicemail Password from Device

Caution If you receive a 'Your account has no access to the system; please contact your system administrator' announcement:


 My Verizon app


  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).


  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
    Note If prompted, enter your My Verizon password then tap Sign in.
  3. Tap Account Settings.
  4. Tap the Security tab (at the top) then tap Manage voicemail password.
  5. Enter the required info into the following fields then tap Update (at the bottom):
    Note The password can't have repeating digits (e.g., 1111) or consecutive digits (e.g., 1234) and must contain 4-7 numbers.
    • Enter new password
    • Confirm new password




Calling from Phone

Note This method is used to change your password for all types of Voicemail (Basic, Premium, Visual, etc.).

  1. Press *611 then press SEND (airtime is free).
    Alternatively, call (800) 922-0204 (toll free) from any phone to reach the automated customer service menu.
  2. When prompted to state the reason for your call, say 'Reset voicemail password'.
  3. If prompted, enter the requested info for security verification.
  4. Follow the prompts to reset the password.
    Note The password can't have repeating digits (e.g., 1111) or consecutive digits (e.g., 1234).
    Note If you receive a text message from the Digital Assistant, click the link then perform the remaining steps as instructed.
