A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > More.
Tap the Menu icon (upper-right).
Tap Add VPN profile.
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server info and credentials.
If needed, tap PPP encryption (MPPE) to enable or disable.
Enabled when a check mark is present.
Tap the Type field then select one of the following from the dropdown menu:
IPSec Xauth PSK
IPSec Xauth RSA
IPSec Hybrid RSA
Enter the appropriate info into the applicable fields then tap SAVE.
