View Device Screen on TV - HTC Desire® 626

Note Notes:

  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • For assistance with setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube™, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

 

Media Share
Play / Copy Media (DLNA)

 

Media Share

  • HTC Connect™ provides media sharing with supported devices and accessories including:
    • Backfire™ compliant multi-room speakers
    • Multi-room speakers that support the Qualcomm® AllPlay™ platform
    • DLNA compatible speakers and TV
    • Miracast display devices
    • Bluetooth® speakers
    • HTC certified consumer electronic devices or accessories that have the HTC Connect logo

  1. Before starting, make sure you have set up speakers, TV or appliance to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
    Note Refer to the applicable device's documentation for set up instructions.
  2. Open and play music or media content you want to share from the HTC Desire® 626.
  3. Swipe up on the screen with 3 fingers to start a media sharing session.
    Note To stop a media sharing session, swipe down on the screen with 3 fingers.

  4. From the "Choose where to play media prompt", tap the device to connect to.
  5. Once connected, utilize your phone to control volume, pause or resume playback, etc.

Play / Copy Media (DLNA)

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > More.
  2. Tap HTC Connect.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right) then tap Scan option.
  4. Select DLNA.
    Note Selected when a check mark Check mark icon is present.
  5. Tap DONE.
