Email Account Password and Server Settings - Samsung Galaxy Tab® 4 (10.1)

To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Email.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. If applicable, select the desired email account on the left.
  5. Edit any of the following then tap Done (located in the lower-right):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • Domain\Username
    • Password
    • POP3/IMAP Server
      Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
    • Security type
      Note If applicable, tap the Dropdown menu Dropdown menu icon to select security type.
    • Accept all SSL certificates
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  6. Tap Outgoing settings (if available).
  7. Edit any of the following then tap Done (located in the lower-right):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • SMTP server
    • Security type
      Note If applicable, tap the Dropdown menu Dropdown menu icon to select security type.
    • Port
    • Require sign-in
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
      Note If applicable, ensure the appropriate Username and Password are entered.
