Note Notes:

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon, refer to the My Verizon website.

  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Data usage.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Then do one of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. From the 'Mobile' section, tap Bill Cycle.
      2. Tap Bill cycle once more.
      3. Tap the appropriate date then tap SET.
        Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to use apps that require a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or the mobile data limit must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
      1. From the 'Mobile' section, tap Bill Cycle.
      2. Tap the Limit mobile data usage switch to turn on On icon.
        Note If turning on, read the disclaimer then tap OK.
      3. Tap Data Usage Limit.
      4. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap SET.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.
      1. Tap the Alert me about data usage switch to turn on On icon.
      2. If presented with a data usage alert, tap OK.
      3. Tap Bill cycle.
      4. Tap Data Usage Warning.
      5. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap SET.
