Mobile Hotspot Settings - Samsung Galaxy Tab® 4 (10.1)

To configure Mobile Hotspot settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, etc.), view this info.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate Apps icon Apps icon > Mobile Hotspot.
  2. Tap the Settings icon Hotspot settings icon (located in the upper-right).
  3. From the Configure Mobile Hotspot screen, set up the following then tap SAVE.
    • Network SSID
    • Hide my device
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Security
      • Open
        Note If presented with a Warning screen, tap Continue.
      • WPA2 PSK
    • Password
    • Show password
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Show advanced options
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • To change the Broadcast Channel, refer to Configure Broadcast Channel - Mobile HotSpot - Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1.
  4. Tap the device name (located above Connected devices) (e.g. SM-G730Vxxxx).
    Note By default, xxxx are the last 4 digits of of the Wi-Fi MAC address.
  5. Tap one of the following:
    • All devices
    • Allowed devices only
  6. To set allowed devices, tap Allowed devices.
  7. Tap the Add icon + (located in the upper-right).
  8. Enter the device name and MAC address then tap OK.
