Move Music Files to Device - Samsung Galaxy S6 edge +

This helps you move or transfer music between your device and a computer/PC.

Caution Only DRM free or unprotected video can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

 

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    Note Once connected, tap ALLOW to transfer media between your phone and computer.
    Allow file transfer with computer
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (area at the top of the phone screen with the time, signal strength, etc.) then drag to the bottom.
      Note The image below is an example of what you see when you swipe down; see next step for specific wording.

    2. Tap the USB Charging then tap File Transfer.
  2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E (windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open File Explorer or Open Windows Explorer.
  3. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate: SAMSUNG-SM-G928V > Phone.
  4. Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the folder.
    Note For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy into the same folder as the music files.
  5. To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired music files into it.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable.
