Samsung Galaxy Note5 - Manage Data Usage

Note Notes:

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon, refer to the My Verizon website.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon >Settings Settings icon.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Data usage then do one of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
    1. Tap Bill Cycle.
    2. Tap Bill cycle.
    3. Select the appropriate date then tap SET.
      Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant on a data connection (e.g., browser, email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Bill cycle.
    2. Tap Limit mobile data usage to turn on On indicator or off Off indicator.
      Note If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Enter the preferred warning limit (e.g., 400 MB, 3 GB, etc.)then tap SET.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
    1. Tap Alert me about data usage.
      Note If presented with Data usage warning screen, review the message then tap OK.
    2. Tap Bill cycle.
    3. Tap Data usage warning.
    4. Enter the preferred warning limit (e.g., 400 MB, 3 GB, etc.)then tap SET.
