Manage Do Not Disturb Settings - Google Nexus™ 7

Note Notes:

  • The Do Not Disturb feature allows sound/vibration notifications (for phone calls, messages, etc.) to be turned on or off as preferred.
  • Alarms are considered priority notifications.

Set Priorities

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Sound & notification Sound icon.
  2. Tap Do not disturb.
  3. Tap Priority only allows.
  4. Tap any of the following switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off:
    • Reminders
    • Events
    • Repeat callers
  5. Tap either of the following then select an option (e.g., From anyone, From contacts only, etc):
    • Messages
    • Calls
  6. Tap the Back icon Back icon (located at the bottom left) then tap Automatic rules.
  7. Tap any of the following then configure as desired (e.g., Rule name, Start time, etc.):
    • Weekend
    • Weeknight
    • Event
    • Add rule

Change Do Not Disturb Setting

  1. Swipe down twice from the top of a Home screen.
  2. Tap the current Do not disturb setting (Total silence, Alarms only, Priority only).

  3. Tap the preferred setting.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Until you turn this off
    • For one hour
      Note Increase or decrease this time frame using the Add icon or Subtract icon icons (located to the right).
  5. Tap Done (located in the lower-right).
