Wi-Fi Calling settings don't transfer after switching devices and/or performing a factory data reset. You need to enable W-Fi Calling manually if you want to use it.
If powered off, press and hold the Power button until the moto logo appears then release.
From the Welcome screen, select the appropriate language then tap GET STARTED.
Allow several seconds for activation to complete.
If presented with a Phone Activation screen, tap NEXT or tap ACTIVATE NOW (if available).
If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off and allow several minutes for the deactivation of the old phone to complete.
If presented with a 'Set up your XT1585' screen, tap Set up as new.
If presented with a 'Get connected' screen, tap Use cellular network for setup.
Review the disclaimer then tap CONTINUE.
If presented with a 'Verify your account' screen, sign in with the Google account that was previously synced on the device, tap NEXT then tap No.
From the Add your Account (Google) screen, tap SKIP > SKIP.
From the Name screen, enter the first and last name then tap NEXT.
From the Protect your phone screen, tap Not now > SKIP ANYWAY.
From the Google services screen, select any of the following to turn on or off then tap NEXT (may require scrolling to the bottom).

From the Verizon Cloud screen, tap SKIP (lower-left) > NOT NOW.
From the Email Accounts screen, tap SKIP (lower-right).
From the Summary screen, tap DONE.
Review the Moto Privacy settings then tap ACCEPT.
