The PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) is utilized to reset a blocked SIM card.
For Postpaid accounts, you must obtain the PUK via the My Verizon website before proceeding.
For Prepaid accounts, contact customer service to obtain the PUK before proceeding.
From the right edge of the screen, swipe left to display the charms menu.
If using a mouse, move the pointer to the upper or lower-right corner of the Start screen then move up/down.
Alternatively, press the Windows+C keys ( +C) located on the physical keyboard (if available).
Tap or click Settings.
Tap or click Change PC settings (located in the lower-right).
From the left-pane, tap or click Network.
If not available, tap or click the Back icon (located in the upper-left) as necessary until "PC settings" appears in the upper-left.
Ensure that "Connections" is selected from the left-pane then tap or click Unnamed from the "Mobile broadband" section.
From the "Security" section, tap or click Unblock PIN (may require scrolling to the bottom).
From the "Unblock your PIN" screen, enter the appropriate information into the following fields:
If an invalid PUK is entered too many times, the SIM card may be permanently disabled.
