Tablet Calling Initial Activation - Verizon Messages

Note Notes:

  • Ensure HD Voice is activated on the primary number and Wi-Fi is enabled on the endpoint (tablet).
  • No Minute of Use (MOU) or Data charges apply when receiving or originating a Voice/Video Call over Wi-Fi in the US.
  • International long distance charges applies to calls made to an international number from US.
  • While traveling internationally no charges apply to calls made back to the US. However, calling local international numbers are billed at the international rate per calling plan.


  1. Download Message+ 6.0 from the Apple App store SM or Google Play Store TM.
    Note Tablet calling is supported on the following operating systems:
    • iOS 8.4.1+
    • Android 4.4+
  2. Launch the app then tap Get Started.

  3. Enter the 10-digit MDN of the primary device.
    Note If desired, enter a nickname.

  4. Enter the security code sent to primary device via SMS then tap Done.
    Note Existing Message+ users need VICE features on the primary line.

  5. From the 'WELCOME TO MESSAGE+' screen, tap Close X (located in the top right).
  6. From the 'Good News' screen, tap Enable Calling.
  7. For e911 address entry chose one of the following option:
    Note This information gets transmitted to the emergency dispatcher for all 911 calls made on Wi-Fi network. If address validation fails then enter a new valid address.
    • Tap Use Current Location for address based off GPS location.
    • Manually enter the address.
  8. Tap Save.
  9. Review the disclaimer note for additional information then tap I AGREE.
    Note Repeat steps 1-6 to add additional tablets up to five total.
