Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8.0) - Set Lock Screen Notifications

Lock screen notifications for apps (e.g., text messages, Snapchat®, etc.) can be customized to be shown or hidden when your screen is locked.

Note If a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® account is set up on the device, notifications are off by default.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Lock screen.
    Note For Android version 7.1.1 or earlier, navigate: Settings > Lock screen and security.
  3. Tap Notifications (a screen lock must be set up to see this option).
  4. Tap the Notifications switch (upper-right) to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    Note When on, tap any of the following to turn on or off:
    • Hide content
    • Notification icons only
