Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8.0) - Enable / Disable App

If apps cause your device to crash, freeze, lock up or reset itself, this info may help.

Note Notes:

  • This option is available for some apps that can't be uninstalled.
  • Here's how to check what software version your device is running.

Caution Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Apps.
    Note For software version 7.1.1 or earlier, tap App manager (upper-right).
  3. Do one of the following:
  • To enable an app:
    1. Locate then tap the app name (e.g., Cloud).
      Note If system apps aren't visible, tap the Menu icon Menu (upper-right) > Show system apps.
    2. Tap ENABLE.
  • To disable an app:
    1. Locate then tap the app name (e.g., Cloud).
      Note If system apps aren't visible, tap the Menu icon Menu (upper-right) > Show system apps.
    2. Tap FORCE STOP.
    3. To confirm, tap FORCE STOP.
    4. Tap DISABLE.
    5. To confirm, tap DISABLE.
