Samsung Galaxy View - Email Account Password and Server Settings

To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > Accounts (Personal section).
  2. From the Accounts section (located on the right), select the appropriate account type (e.g., Personal (IMAP), Personal (POP3), etc.).
  3. Tap Account settings (located on the right).
  4. Tap the appropriate email address (below General settings).
    Note Multiple accounts may appear.
  5. If available, tap Password.
  6. Enter the password then tap OK.
  7. From the Server settings section, tap Incoming settings.
  8. Edit any of the following then tap DONE (located in the lower-right):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • USERNAME
    • PASSWORD
    • SERVER
      Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
    • PORT
    • SECURITY TYPE
    • IMAP path prefix
  9. Tap Outgoing settings.
  10. Edit any of the following then tap DONE:
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • SMTP SERVER
    • PORT
    • SECURITY TYPE
    • Require signin
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • USERNAME
    • AUTHENTICATION
