PRIV™ by BlackBerry® - Add a Virtual Private Network
A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > More.
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock (pattern, PIN, or password only) for assistance.
Tap the Add icon (upper-right).
From the 'Name' field, enter the appropriate name.
Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
From the 'Type' field, tap the Dropdown menu icon (on the right) then select the VPN type:
IPSec Xauth PSK
IPSec Xauth RSA
IPSec Hybrid RSA
Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap Save (lower-right).
If applicable, tap (check) Show advanced options to configure the following:
The available options vary depending upon the selected VPN type.
