Manually Set Up Corporate Email (Exchange ActiveSync) - PRIV™ by BlackBerry®

Note Contact your Exchange / IT Administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Accounts Accounts icon.
  2. Tap Add account Add icon.
  3. Enter your corporate email address then tap Manual setup (located in the lower-left).
  4. Select the appropriate Account type (e.g., POP3, etc.).
  5. Enter your corporate email password the tap Next (located in the lower-right).
  6. Ensure that the appropriate info is entered into the following fields:
    • Domain\username
    • Password
    • Server
    • Port
    • Security type
  7. If applicable, configure the following then tap the Next icon (located at the bottom):
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Use secure connection (SSL)
    • Use client certificate
  8. If presented with a Remote security administration prompt, tap OK.
  9. Configure the account options (e.g., Sync frequency, etc.) as necessary then tap the Next icon.
  10. If presented with an "Activate device administrator" screen, tap Activate.
  11. If presented, set up a secure screen lock, select an option then tap Done (located in the lower-right):
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
  12. If presented with an "Encrypt phone" prompt, review the info then tap Encrypt phone.
    Note Follow the on-screen steps to complete the applied security policy (e.g., Set up password, Device encryption).
    Note Device encryption can exceed 60 minutes.
  13. If desired, enter an account name then tap Next.
