Move Music Files to Device - LG G5

This helps you move or transfer music between your device and a computer/PC.

caution Only DRM free or unprotected music can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

 

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (area at the top of the phone screen with the time, signal strength, etc.) then drag to the bottom.
      Note The image below is merely an example.

    2. Tap the USB icon USB icon then select File transfer.
      Note If prompted, tap JUST ONCE or ALWAYS.
  2. Launch Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E (Windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open File Explorer or Open Windows Explorer.
  3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate: VS987 Portable Media Player icon > Internal storage Windows storage icon.
    Note If a microSD card is present, files can be transferred to that location by navigating: VS987 > SD card windows folder icon .
  4. Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the folder.
    Note For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy it to the same folder as the music files.
  5. To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired music files into it.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable.
