Move Music Files to Device - Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016)

This helps you move or transfer music between your device and a computer/PC.

Caution Only DRM free or unprotected music can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

 

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (area at the top of the phone screen with the time, signal strength, etc.) then drag to the bottom.

    2. Tap the USB icon USB icon then select Transferring media files.
  2. Launch Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E (Windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open Windows Explore.
  3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate: SAMSUNG-SM-J320VPP Portable Media Player icon > Phone Windows storage icon > Music.
    Note If a microSD card is present, files can be transferred to that location by navigating: SAMSUNG-SM-J320VPP > Card Windows storage icon.
  4. Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the folder.
    Note For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy it to the same folder as the music files.
  5. To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired music files into it.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable.
