Turn Emergency Mode On / Off - Samsung

Note Notes:

  • Emergency mode conserves your device's remaining power when you are in an emergency situation.
  • Battery power is saved by:
    • Turning off Mobile data when the screen is off.
    • Turning off connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth®.
    • Restricting usage to essential apps and those you select.
      Note Limited functionality includes:
      • a simplified home screen.
      • low LCD brightness and frame rate.
      • limited CPU speed.
      • limited use of the S View cover and other apps.
    • Follow the steps below to turn Emergency Mode on or off.

 

Turn Emergency Mode On

  1. With the device powered on, press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears then release.
  2. From the list of options, tap Emergency mode Emergency mode icon.
    Note If prompted, review the Terms and conditions, select (check) the 'I have read' option then tap Agree.
  3. To continue, review the disclaimer then tap Turn on.
    Note Allow several seconds for the change to take effect.

Turn Emergency Mode Off

  1. Press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears then release.
  2. Tap Emergency mode.
    Note Alternatively, while on the Home screen tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-right) > Turn off Emergency mode.
    Note Allow several seconds for the change to take effect.
