Moto Z Droid Edition / Force - Move Pictures / Videos from Device

This helps when you want to transfer or move your picture/video files between your device and a computer/PC or memory card.

caution Only DRM free or unprotected video can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

  • To perform the steps below, a USB Type-C data cable or adapter (not included) is required.
    Note A data cable or adapter can be purchased from any Verizon Wireless retail store or at the online store.
  • Pictures or videos can also be transferred to the device from a computer.
  • If using a Macintosh computer, additional software is required in order to transfer files.

  1. Connect the device to a computer using a compatible USB data cable.
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.
      Note The image depicted below is merely an example.

    2. Tap USB charging this device.
    3. Select Transfer files.
      Note Selected when a green dot is present.
  2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer.
  3. Using File or Windows Explorer, navigate: XT1650 > Internal shared storage.
    note XT1650 is listed under the Portable Devices section.
  4. Utilize the computer to copy video or picture files from the following folders into the desired folder(s) on the computer's hard drive:
    • DCIM\Camera
    • Download
    • Movies
    • Pictures
  5. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
