My Verizon app - Account User Status

Note The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.

Account Owner: This is the person financially responsible for the account. This role has access to all of the info and can manage all the mobile phones on the account. Only one mobile phone number per account is eligible to register as an Account Owner.

Account Manager (not available for prepaid): This user must be assigned by the Account Owner (an Account Owner can assign up to 3 Account Managers). This role has access to account info and can manage all the lines of service on the account. The only functions an Account Manager cannot do is to assign another Account Manager or change the Account PIN.

Account Member: This is a user on the Account Owner's account. The role has access to certain individual mobile number info and functions, but does not have access to sensitive billing info. All mobile numbers on an account are eligible to register as an Account Member.

All roles are able to do the following:

  • Make one-time payments
  • Check minutes and messages
  • Change or reset the voicemail password
  • Purchase content for a phone
  • Access personal photo albums
  • Manage personal preferences
  • Block Calls & Messages
