My Verizon app - Manage Security Settings

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
  • Changes to these items may take up to 15 minutes to appear on your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).

Manage Voicemail Password
Manage Account PIN

Change Password

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
  3. Tap Account Settings then from the horizontal tabs select Security.
  4. From the 'Keep your account safe' screen, tap Change password.
  5. From the 'Pick a new password' screen, tap the following fields to edit then tap Update (at the bottom):
    • Current password
    • Enter new password
    • Re-enter new password
  6. Tap the Back icon Back arrow (upper-left) to return the 'Keep your account safe' screen or press the Home button (if available) to exit.

Manage Security Question

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
  3. Tap Account Settings then from the horizontal tabs select Security.
  4. From the 'Keep your account safe' screen, tap Manage security question.
  5. From the 'Want to switch questions?' screen, tap the dropdown arrow (right of the listed question), select a question then tap Done.
  6. Tap the Answer field to enter your response to the selected question then tap Update (at the botton).
  7. Tap the Back icon Back arrow (upper-left) to return the 'Keep your account safe' screen or press the Home button (if available) to exit.

Manage Voicemail Password

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
  3. Tap Account Settings then from the horizontal tabs select Security.
  4. From the 'Keep your account safe' screen, tap Manage voicemail password.
  5. Tap the following fields to enter the appropriate info then tap Update (at the bottom):
    • Enter new password
    • Confirm new password
  6. Tap the Back icon Back arrow (upper-left) to return the 'Keep your account safe' screen or press the Home button (if available) to exit.

Manage Account PIN

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
  3. Tap Account Settings then from the horizontal tabs select Security.
  4. From the 'Keep your account safe' screen, tap Manage Account PIN.
  5. Enter a 4-digit PIN then tap Next.
  6. Re-enter the 4-digit PIN then tap Next
  7. Tap Done (at the bottom).
