Note Notes:

  • Activation requires a valid US address for E911 functionality.
  • Wi-Fi Calls always originate in the U.S., even when you're outside of the U.S.
    • Calls to U.S. numbers are not billed (except for 411 or other premium calls).
    • Calls to international numbers are billed according to your international long distance plan.
  • A soft reset is needed on the desk phone when a new endpoint is added to the One Talk MDN.

T41 Setup

  1. Attach the desk mount stand.

    • AC Power

      1. From the desk phone display, navigate: Settings > Basic > Wi-Fi.
      2. Tap On.
      3. Select an available wireless network from the list of networks.
      4. If the network is secure, enter the password in the PIN field.
      5. Tap OK to connect.
  7. The Desk phone begins the initialization process.

    Note The USB port can be used to connect the BT40 Bluetooth USB adapter or WF50 Wi-Fi USB adapter.
    Note T41SW and T46SW models include the WF50 Wi-Fi adapter. It can be purchased separately for other models. Bluetooth adapter BT40 can be purchased separately.

  4. Connect the power and Ethernet by selecting one of the following options:

  5. The Desk phone begins the initialization process.

  1. Connect the power and Ethernet by selecting one of the following options:

  3. Connect the optional expansion microphone(s).
    Note Optional CPE80 Conference Microphone extenders can be purchased separately for use in larger conference rooms. Up to two expansion microphones can be connected to the IP conference phone.

One Talk DECT IP Phone

Note The W60 bundle includes a base station (W60) and (1) handset (W56HV). The W56HV handset that shipped as part of the bundle will automatically link to the base station.

  1. Insert the battery into the W56HV Handset.
    Note Use the supplied charging cradle power adapter (5V/600mA). With the battery charged, you can use the handset to monitor the progress of the base station initialization and registration process.

  2. Turn the handset on.
  3. Set up the base station using one of the following option:
    • Desktop setup option
    • Wall mout setup option
  4. Connect the base station to the power and Ethernet by selecting one of the following options:
    Note Contact your IT administrator before selecting the power option.
    • AC Power
      Note Use the supplied charging cradle power adapter (5V/600mA).
    • PoE (Power over Ethernet)
  5. After your phone is powered on, the system boots up and performs automatic phone initialization.
    Note When your One Talk phone is connected to the network and powered on, it automatically starts the initialization process. The LCD screen displays “Initializing, please wait during this process.” The phone finishes the initialization by loading the saved configuration.
  6. After starting up and confirming the 911 address, the phone is ready for use.
  7. To register additional handsets:
    1. On the W60 base, press and hold the Page/Sync Button (looks like a Wi-Fi icon) on the base station until the top LED blinks (The pattern is a fast three blinks, happens after approx. 4 seconds).
    2. On the W56 handset, press OK then navigate: Settings > Registration > Register Handset.
    3. Choose the desired base station and press OK.
    4. After the handset finds the base station press OK.
    5. Enter the base station PIN (default: 0000) and press the Done soft key to finish registration.
    6. Follow steps 1-5 to register a handset to multiple base stations.
      Note Be sure to choose a base station that is not already being selected to avoid overwriting the existing selection.
  8. To de-select handsets:
    1. From the main screen, press the Navigational button (located in the middle) on the W56HV Handset then navigate: Settings > Registration > De-reg. Handset.
    2. Enter the base station PIN (default: 0000) and press the Done soft key.
    3. From the list of handsets displayed on the LCD screen, highlight the desired handset name and press OK.
    4. When the screen prompts "De-register Handset", press the Yes soft key to de-register the handset.

CP920

  1. Connect the power and wired network.
    Note You have two options for network and power connections. Your system administrator will advise you which one to use.
    Note You can also connect to a Wi-Fi network after startup. Refer to Step 3 for more information.

  2. Connect the optional USB flash drive (for use with the USB Call Recording feature).
    Caution The IP phone should be used with Yealink original power adapter (12V/1A) only. If inline power (PoE) is provided, you don't need to connect the power adapter. Make sure the hub/switch is PoE compliant.

  3. Configuring Wi-Fi via the user interface:
    1. Press the Menu soft key and select Settings > Basic > Wi-Fi.
    2. Press the Switch soft key to turn Wi-Fi on.
    3. Press the Save soft key.The phone automatically searches for available Wi-Fi networks in your area.
    4. Select an available wireless network from the list of available network(s).
    5. Press the Connect soft key to connect to the wireless network.
    6. If the network is secure, enter its password in the Password field then tap the OK soft key.
  4. Startup:
    1. After the IP phone is connected to the network and supplied with power, it automatically begins the initialization process.
