My Verizon app - Pay Bill / Manage Bill Settings

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android™ devices running 5.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 11.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).

Make a One-Time Payment

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Bill.
  3. Tap the Payment options.
  4. At the 'Payment Method' screen, swipe side to side to select a payment method then tap Continue.
  5. If preferred, change the payment amount.
    Note Payment amount defaults to the full account balance.
    1. Tap Payment Amount.
    2. Enter new amount.
  6. If preferred, change the payment date.
    Note Payment date defaults to today's date.
    1. Tap Today.
    2. Select a date from the calendar.
    3. Tap OK.
  7. Tap Make Payment.
  8. Tap Finish.

Make a Promise to Pay

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Bill.
  3. Tap Payment Options.
  4. From the 'Payment Method' screen, swipe left until 'Promise to pay' displays then tap Continue.
    Note If eligible, select Make a split payment to schedule two payments for the Promise to pay.
  5. From the 'Payment Details' screen, enter an amount in to 'Promise Amount' field.
  6. Tap the 'Payment Date' then select a date.
  7. Tap Make Payment.
  8. Review your payment details and tap Finish.

Manage Payment Methods

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Bill.
  3. Tap the Settings tab then tap Manage payment methods.
  4. Select one of the following actions:
    • Edit an existing payment method:
      1. Swipe side to side to view the saved payment methods.
      2. To edit or remove a saved payment method, select one and tap Edit.
        • Edit
          Note Change the applicable info then tap Save (bottom).
        • Remove
          Note Tap Remove.
    • Add a payment method:
      1. Tap Add payment method (bottom) then tap one of the following options:
      • Checking account
        1. Enter the following:
          • Routing number
          • Account number
          • Payment method nickname
            Note Up to 20 letters and numbers.
        2. If desired, tap Turn on Autopay.
        3. Tap Save.
      • Credit or debit card
        1. Enter the following:
          • Card number
          • Expiration date
            Note Use the drop down menus to select the card's expiration date.
          • CVC
          • Card ZIP Code
          • Payment method nickname
            Note Up to 20 letters and numbers.
        2. If desired, tap Turn on Autopay.
        3. Tap Save.
      • ATM card
        1. Enter the following:
          • Card number
          • Expiration date
            Note Use the drop down menus to select the card's expiration date.
          • Card ZIP Code
          • Payment method nickname
            Note Up to 20 letters and numbers.
        2. If desired, tap Turn on Autopay.
        3. Tap Save.

Manage Auto Pay

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Bill.
  3. Tap the Settings tab then tap Manage Auto Pay.
  4. Use the Autopay toggle switch to turn on or off.
    Note Alternatively, if Autopay hasn't been set up, tap the Setup Autopay button from the Current Bill tab.
    Note Turning on Autopay turns on paper-free billing.
  5. If desired, use the drop down menu to select a different payment date.
  6. Swipe through the saved payment methods and select one to use for Autopay.
  7. From the Terms and Conditions tap Agree.
  8. Tap Save.

Manage Paper-free Billing

  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Bill.
  3. Tap the Settings tab then tap Manage paper-free billing.
  4. Tap the Turn on paper-free billing switch to turn on or off.
  5. Tap Accept.
