Note Notes:

  • The device must activated in order to have photos delivered to your mobile device and/or email address.
  • Before activation, locate your MEID number which is printed on a sticker inside the camera.
  • Activation may be done online, at a Verizon Wireless retail store or by contacting us.

Camera Setup

  1. Insert 12 (recommended), 8, or 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
  2. Insert an unlocked SD card (up to 32GB) into the SD card slot (located on the right edge).
  3. Screw the antenna onto the antenna jack (located at the top) with the rubber gasket in between to prevent leaks.


Connect to Network

  1. Slide the Power switch to the SETUP position to enter Preview mode.
    Note If Verizon appears and signal strength bars show in the upper right after the screen displays 'Searching network..' proceed to step 6.
  2. Press the Menu button to access the Setup menu.
  3. Select the Wireless tab (signal bars located on the far right).
    Note Utilize the Arrow buttons above and below the OK button to navigate and the OK button to select.
  4. Select Diagnostic.
    Note May require scrolling down to the next screen.
  5. Select Activation/Reboot.
    Note A pop up box with 'Dial *22899 (Please wait)' appears followed by 'Successful! Restarting. Please wait'.
  6. After device restarts, repeat steps 2-4 then select Hello Test.
    Note If test fails, repeat step 5.


Set Up Camera to Send Photos

Note Verizon offers 2 ways to set up your camera to deliver photos: GoWireless Premium and GoWireless Auto. Visit this support page for a detailed comparison.

  1. With the camera in SETUP mode and connected to the network, press the Menu button.
  2. From the Wireless tab (located on the far right), select Send Via.
  3. Ensure the appropriate option is selected:


GoWireless Premium

  1. Select Register Camera.
    Note A pop up box with 'Camera registering...' appears, followed by a Module ID/ MEID number and a registration code.
  2. The MEID should be the same one that's on the camera body. Write down the Registration Code.
  3. For rest of the setup process, do one of the following:
    • Watch this YouTube video.
    • Refer to GoWireless Premium setup in the user's manual.
    • Visit this support page.
  4. Once complete, from a web browser navigate to the GoWireless web portal, click Sign In (upper-right) then follow the steps to set up a GoWireless account and register your camera.
  5. Once registered, you can begin using the Spartan Camera Management app.


GoWireless Auto

  1. Select Recipients.
  2. Select Email then select any entry box.
  3. Use the keypad to enter up to four destination email addresses then select Save.
    Note This refers to both regular email addresses and device email addresses in the format
  4. Press the Menu button to return to the main menu.
  5. From the Image From field, enter the camera name then select Save.
    Note The name appears in the From field on the photo email.
  6. From the Realtime field, select on or off.
  7. Press the Menu button to return to the Preview screen.


Send a Test Photo

  1. With the camera in SETUP mode and connected to the network, press OK to take a photo.
  2. From the 'Send this photo?' prompt, select Yes.
    Note The camera displays 'Setting...Sending...Sent!'
  3. Check your email, phone, web account or mobile app for the photo.
    Note If the test is successful, slide the Power switch to the ON position to begin using the camera.
