My Verizon app - Apple® iPhone® - Device Health Check

Use the Device Health Check to identify and fix common issues on your iPhone related to the battery, performance and connectivity.

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android™ devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.


  1. From the Home screen, tap the My Verizon app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Devices.
    Note If prompted, sign in to your account.
  3. Tap Manage (below the applicable iPhone number).

  4. From the Manage tab, tap Run health check.

  5. From the 'Your results are in' page, tap any of the following items then follow instructions to make improvements:
    Note Available options may vary depending upon device.
    Note Items that can be improved are listed next to an exclamation mark inside a red or yellow circle.
    Note Tap the Next icon Next icon (to the right of the applicable field) to view more info.
    • Battery Usage
    • Storage
    • Performance
    • Connectivity
