My Verizon app - International Ready Check

Use the International Ready Check to determine if your device can be used while traveling internationally.

Caution If you receive a warning message from your browser, refer to these FAQs regarding outdated browsers.

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.

  1. From the Home screen, tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-left) then tap Account.
  3. Tap My Plan.
  4. From the International tab, tap Check if my device will work outside of the US (at the bottom; may require scrolling).

  5. From the 'Where are you traveling?' screen, enter the applicable country or cruise line then tap Next.
    Note Tap Add another country or cruise line if more than one location is needed.

  6. Tap Next.
    Note If a yellow or red circle appears next to a device, it is not able to be used Internationally. Tap the device for additional options.

  7. Tap Done.
    Note If prompted with 'Looks like you need an international plan', tap Done then do the following:
    1. Tap Add new plan (at the bottom; may require scrolling).
    2. Tap Travel Plan then tap Next.
    3. From the 'Where are you traveling?' screen, enter the applicable country or cruise line then tap Next.
      Note Tap Add another country or cruise line if more than one location is needed.

    4. From the 'Which devices need this plan?' screen, select the mobile number(s) then tap Next.
      Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    5. Review the recommended plan(s).
      Note If applicable, swipe left or right to view additional plan recommendations.
    6. Tap Select.
    7. From the 'When should your new plan kick in?' screen, select a date.
      Note Defaults to today's date. To choose a different date, tap Today, select a date, tap OK then tap Next.
      Note If preferred, tap (check) Auto renew this plan each month to keep plan until you remove it.

    8. Tap Next.
    9. Tap Confirm.
