To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.

Note Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, call #DATA (#3282) from the device or refer to the My Verizon website.

Set Mobile Data Limit

Caution Mobile data (cellular data) is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Play Store, etc.), a Wi-Fi connection can be used or Mobile data must be manually re-enabled (overage charges may apply).

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Network & Internet > Data usage.
  2. Tap Limit to turn on Switch on.
    Note If prompted, review the notification then tap OK to confirm.
  3. Enter the desired limit (e.g., 5GB) then tap SET.

Set Mobile Data Warning

Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the grey warning line.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Network & Internet > Data usage.
  2. Tap Alert me to turn on Switch on.
    Note If prompted, review the notification then tap OK to confirm.
  3. Enter the desired limit (e.g., 4GB) then tap SET.

Change Data Usage Cycle

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Network & Internet > Data usage.
  2. Tap Billing cycle.
  3. Configure the cycle date then tap SET.
    Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.

View Data Usage by App

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Network & Internet > Data usage.
  2. From the Wi-Fi section, tap Wi-Fi data usage.
  3. Select an app (below the usage graph).
  4. View the usage info.
