Windows® 10 - Edit Access Point Name (APN)

Caution Changing the Access Point Name (APN) may affect the performance and Internet connectivity of the device. Contact your local IT administrator prior to altering this setting. 

Note If your device isn't running Windows 10, refer to the Windows 8 instructions.


LTE Access Point Name (APN) Definitions

Used for connections to IMS services. Required for TXT messaging.
Used for administrative functions.
Required for general Internet connections.
Required for PDA data service
Used for connections that must be routed through content filtering.
Used for connections to mobile private networks.
Note 'xx' would be replaced by the enterprise MPN identifier.
Used for static IP connections.
Note 'xx' would be replaced by the appropriate static IP pool identifier.


  1. From the Home screen, navigate: All apps icon All apps icon > Verizon Connection Manager.
    Note If the Verizon Connection Manager app has been uninstalled, it can be reinstalled via the Windows Store.
  2. Tap or click Network Settings.
    Note If not available, tap the Dropdown menu located at the top then tap Network Settings.
  3. From the "APN" section, edit the APN as required then tap or click an open area of the screen to save the setting.
