Verizon Ellipsis 8® HD - Manage Data Usage

Note Notes:

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings Settings icon.
  2. Tap Data usage then tap one of the following:  
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or Mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Mobile data usage.
    2. Tap the Gear icon Gear icon (upper-right).
    3. Tap Limit Mobile data usage to turn on On indicator.
    4. If prompted, review the message then tap OK.
    5. Tap Data limit and enter the applicable data limit (e.g., 2.0GB) then tap SET.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
      1. Tap Mobile data usage then tap the Gear icon Gear icon (upper-right).
      2. Tap Alert me about data usage to turn on On indicator.
      3. If prompted, review the message then tap OK.
      4. Tap Data limit and enter the applicable data limit (e.g., 5.0GB) then tap SET.
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
    1. Tap Billing cycle.
    2. From the 'Billing cycle screen', tap Billing cycle.
    3. From the 'Usage cycle reset date' prompt, select the cycle date then tap SET.
      Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.
