Turn App Permissions On / Off - Samsung Galaxy S6 edge +

Note Notes:

  • Downloaded apps designed for Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and up only ask for permission the first time you use a feature rather than asking for permissions out of context.
  • Turning off certain permissions may result in basic features no longer working as intended.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Applications (Phone section).
Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
Note If system apps aren't visible, tap MORE (located in the upper-right) > Show system apps.
  4. If available, tap Permissions.
  5. Select available permissions (e.g., Camera, Contacts, Location, etc.) to turn on On indicator or off Off indicator.
Note If prompted, review the message then tap CANCEL or DENY.
