My Verizon app - Purchase a PopData Session

Caution PopData is available for all plans except Unlimited plans.

Note Notes:

  • PopData isn't available for non-Verizon devices (i.e., BYOD).
  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android™ devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.
  • Device must be disconnected from Wi-Fi to initiate a PopData session.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).


  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Data Hub.
  3. From the Overview tab, tap Get More Data.
  4. From the 'How would you like to add data?' screen, tap PopData then tap Next.
  5. From the PopData screen, tap Next (at the bottom).

    Note If PopData is currently unavailable, tap Got it.
  6. From the 'Pick a session...screen', select the desired option then tap Purchase.
  7. From the Confirm purchase pop-up, tap Confirm.
    Note Before the session starts, the 'We're processing your PopData session' notification appears (at the top).
    Note Once your PopData session is active, you are notified by the following:
    • Text Message, advising that your PopData purchase is complete.
    • Countdown timers (located at the top and center of Data Hub screen).
