Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 - Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network

Note Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network administrator for additional assistance.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and Networks section, tap Wi-Fi.
    Note To show Wi-Fi availability when opening apps, tap (check) Show Wi-Fi pop-up (located at the top).
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (located in the upper-right) is turned on On indicator.
  4. Tap Add Network (located below list of available networks).
  5. From the Network name, enter the appropriate name.
  6. From the Security field, tap the Dropdown menu icon Drop down menu icon (located to the left).
  7. Tap one of the following security options:
    Note If using an Open network (None), skip to step 9.
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2/FT PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
  8. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap (check) Show password.
  9. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Save.
