Manage Data Usage - Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.

Caution Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.

Set Mobile Data Limit

Caution Mobile data (cellular data) is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), a Wi-Fi connection can be used or Mobile data must be manually re-enabled (overage charges may apply).

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and Networks section, tap Data usage.
  3. Tap Limit mobile data usage to turn on On indicator.
  4. If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
  5. Tap the orange limit line.
  6. From the Set data usage prompt, tap the number displayed.
  7. Enter the preferred data usage limit and tap SET.

Set Mobile Data Warning

Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and Networks section, tap Data usage.
  3. Tap Alert me about data usage to turn on On indicator.
  4. If presented with Data usage alert screen, review the message then tap OK.
  5. Tap the black warning line.
  6. From the Set data usage warning prompt, tap the number displayed.
  7. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap SET.

Change Data Usage Cycle

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and Networks section, tap Data usage.
  3. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon.
  4. Tap Change cycle.
  5. From the Usage cycle reset date prompt, tap the number displayed.
  6. Enter the preferred date then tap SET.
    Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.

View Data Usage by App

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and Networks section, tap Data usage.
  3. Tap an app (located below the usage graph).
  4. View the usage info.
