Reset App - Samsung Galaxy Tab® S2

If your device crashes, resets itself or freezes, it may be caused by apps and this info may help.

Note Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > Apps (Device section).
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    Note If system apps aren't visible, tap MORE Menu icon (located in the upper-right) > Show system apps.
  4. Tap FORCE STOP.
  5. If presented with a warning screen, tap FORCE STOP.
  6. Tap CLEAR DATA.
    Note This option may not be available for some apps.
    Note Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (e.g., calendar events may be lost).
    Note If Verizon Messages is reset, the tablet needs to be re-paired to the smartphone it is associated with.
  7. Tap OK.
