Turn Share Media On / Off (DLNA) - Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

Note Notes:

  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established.
  • To play or copy media to or from other devices (e.g. computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the equipment manufacturer for assistance.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More.
  3. Tap Nearby devices.
  4. From the Media share section, tap the Nearby devices switch to turn On On indicator or Off Off indicator.
  5. If presented with any prompts, tap ALLOW.
  6. From the Advanced section, tap Content to share to enable/disable the following content to share then tap OK:
    • Videos
    • Photos
    • Music
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  7. Tap Allowed devices.
    Note If devices are within range, they can be added to the allowed devices list.
  8. Tap Blocked devices.
    Note If devices are within range, they can be added to the blocked devices list.
  9. Tap Download to then select one of the following:
    • Device
    • SD card
  10. Tap Receive files from other device then select one of the following:
    • Always accept
    • Always ask
    • Always reject
  11. If presented with a Nearby devices file sharing warning screen, tap OK.
