Motions and Gestures - Samsung Galaxy S® III

Note Notes:

  • Motion and gesture settings allow for various motion-activated services.
  • The sensor can recognize gestures from a distance of under 3 inches at normal speed.

 

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower-right).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Motion.
  4. Tap the Motion switch (located in the upper-right) to turn on or off.
  5. Tap any of the following to enable or disable:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    Direct call
    Call contact currently displayed on screen
    Smart alert
    Catch missed calls and messages
    Double tap to top
    Go to the top of a list
    Tilt to zoom
    Zoom in or out of the screen when in Gallery
    Pan to move icon
    Move an icon to another page
    Pan to browse images
    Move around an image when zoomed in
    Shake to update
    Scan for devices
    Turn over to mute/pause
    Mute incoming calls and pause playing sounds when screen on
    Palm swipe to capture
    Capture screen by swiping it from right to left or versa with the side of a hand
    Palm touch to mute/pause
    Mute or pause sounds by covering screen
