GizmoTab™ - Manage Data Usage

 

Note Notes:

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon, refer to the My Verizon website.

  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Data usage (Wireless & networks section).
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap the current date range (e.g., Sep 24 - Oct 23) then tap Change cycle.
      2. From the Usage cycle reset date prompt, select the cycle date then tap SET.
        Note Refer to the My Verizon website for billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to use apps that require a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, Market, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or the mobile data limit must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
      1. Tap the Limit Mobile data usage switch to turn on On indicator.
      2. If prompted, review the message then tap OK.
      3. Touch and hold the orange limit line.
      4. Drag the line left or right to the preferred level (e.g., 2.0GB) then release.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
      1. Tap the Alert me about data usage switch to turn on On indicator.
      2. If prompted, review the message then tap OK.
      3. Touch and hold the gray warning line.
      4. Drag the line left or right to the preferred level (e.g., 5.0GB) then release.
