Advanced Settings - Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 7730L

To change the advanced settings (e.g., VPN Passthrough enable, Network Name broadcast enable, etc.) on your Jetpack, view this info.

Caution Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance, and security of the Jetpack. Contact your local IT administrator prior to altering any of these settings.

  1. Access the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.
  3. From the Advanced tab, click Continue (located on the right).
  4. Click any of the following (located below the Advanced tab):

 

Networks

Note For info regarding APN settings, refer to Edit Access Point Name (APN).

  1. From the Preferred network technology field, click the dropdown menu.
  2. Click the appropriate setting:
    • Global
    • LTE/CDMA
    • LTE/GSM/UMTS
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).

Manual DNS

Caution Domain Name Server (DNS) settings are automatically assigned by the device. If turning on manual DNS is necessary, contact your local IT administrator for assistance.

  1. Select Turn on Manual DNS to turn on or off.
    Note On when a check mark is present.
  2. From the DNS 1 IP address and DNS 2 IP address fields, enter the appropriate info.
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).

Firewall

  1. Tap the switch for any of the following to turn on or off:
    • VPN Passthrough
    • IPv6 Transparent Mode
  2. From the DMZ (IPv4) section, select DMZ to turn on or off.
    Note On when a check mark is present.
    Note If on, enter the appropriate IP address into the Destination IP address field.
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).

MAC Filter

LAN

  1. From the IPv4 section, enter the desired info into the following fields:
    • IP Address
    • Subnet Mask
    • MAC Address
    • Turn on DHCP server
      Note On when a check mark is present.
    • DHCP lease time
    • Start DHCP address range at
  2. From the IPv6 section, select Turn on IPv6 to turn on or off.
    Note On when a check mark is present.
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).
