Verizon Cloud - Android™ Smartphone - Connect to / Disconnect from a TV

Note Notes:

  • This feature is only available on Samsung and Vizio Smart televisions and televisions equipped with Google Chromecast™.
  • The phone and TV must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure your Verizon Cloud app is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.

Connect to TV

  1. Follow the TV manufactures steps to connect the TV to a Wi-Fi router.
  2. Connect the device to same Wi-Fi network that the TV is on.
  3. From the home screen of the device, tap the Apps icon or swipe up from the center of the display to access all apps.
  4. Tap the Verizon Cloud icon Verizon Cloud.
  5. Tap the Navigation Menu icon Navigation Menu (upper-left).
  6. Select the content type (e.g., Photos & Videos, Music, etc.).
  7. Navigate to a media file (e.g., picture, video, music) then tap the Contextual Menu icon Contextual Menu (upper-right).
  8. Tap Connect to a TV.

  9. If prompted, tap Got It.

  10. Select the preferred display.

  11. Tap the Cast to TV icon Cast to TV icon (upper-right).
  12. View the file on the TV.
    Note To view a video tap the play icon on the device.

Disconnect from TV

  1. While connected to a TV, tap the Casting to TV icon Casting to TV icon on the phone (upper-right).
  2. Tap Disconnect.
