Note Notes:

  • A watch purchased from a Verizon store, authorized retailer or online at VerizonWireless.com is typically already assigned to an active account. However, in instances when that is not the case, the watch guides you through the process of adding it to a new or existing line of service. This occurs during the initial setup and pairing process.
  • To perform the steps below, you need to:
    • ensure your companion smartphone's Bluetooth feature is turned on.
    • keep the watch near your smartphone throughout the entire process.

Follow these steps on your watch to begin the activation process:

  1. From the Get Connected screen on your watch, tap anywhere on the display.
  2. Tap Next.
  3. Tap the Check mark icon Check mark icon to allow permission.

Follow the steps for appropriate scenario below:

  • If presented with "Your watch can be added to the Verizon plan you have for your smartphone", do the following:
    1. To confirm and continue, review the info regarding additional monthly charges then tap the Check mark icon Check mark icon.
      Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
    2. If prompted, tap OK to confirm.
      Note A notification is sent to your companion smartphone.
      Note Further details are viewed from your smartphone's notifications screen (swipe down from top of the display).
    3. When prompted to Set up calling on your watch, refer to Calling Setup.
  • If presented with "You can add this watch to your plan as a new line or you can replace an existing number", select the desired option:
    • Add a new line:
      1. To confirm and continue, review the info regarding additional monthly charges then tap the Check mark icon Check mark icon.
        Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
      2. If prompted, tap OK to confirm.
        Note A notification is sent to your companion smartphone.
        Note Further details are viewed from your smartphone's notifications screen (swipe down from top of the display).
      3. When prompted to Set up calling on your watch, refer to Calling Setup.
    • Replace an existing number:
      1. Swipe left to view the available mobile numbers.
        Note Repeat this step as necessary until the desired number appears.
      2. Tap the desired mobile number.
      3. Tap Start activating.
        Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
        Note A notification is sent to your companion smartphone.
        Note Further details are viewed from your smartphone's notifications screen (swipe down from top of the display).
      4. When prompted to Set up calling on your watch, refer to Calling Setup.
  • If presented with "We see that you're a Verizon customer, but not the Account Owner", select the desired option:
    • Send text:
      1. To confirm, tap the Check mark icon Check mark icon.
      2. Ensure the Account Owner follows the on-screen steps received on their phone via text message to begin the process.
      3. Using your companion smartphone, view the notification confirming the Account Owner added your watch then tap Start Activating Now.
        Note If necessary, swipe down from the top of your companion device's display to reveal the notification.
      4. Using your watch, review the info regarding additional monthly charges then tap Yes to confirm and continue.
        Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
      5. If prompted, tap OK to confirm.
        Note A notification is sent to your companion smartphone.
        Note Further details are viewed from your smartphone's notifications screen (swipe down from top of the display).
      6. When prompted to Set up calling on your watch, refer to Calling Setup.
    • Sign in as the Account Owner:
      1. Tap Open My Verizon on my phone.
      2. Using your companion smartphone, follow the on-screen steps to complete the sign in process.
        Note You must have the account owner sign using their credentials.
      3. Using your watch, review the info regarding additional monthly charges then tap Yes to confirm and continue.
        Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
      4. If prompted, tap OK to confirm.
        Note A notification is sent to your companion smartphone.
        Note Further details are viewed from your smartphone's notifications screen (swipe down from top of the display).
      5. When prompted to Set up calling on your watch, refer to Calling Setup.
