Note If Messages is disabled, ensure Messages is set as the default app.

Delete individual messages

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up then tap Messages Messages.
  2. On the Conversations tab, tap a name or phone number.
  3. Touch and hold the desired message.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Tap Delete to confirm.

Delete multiple messages from someone

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up then tap Messages Messages.
  2. On the Conversations tab, tap a name or phone number.
  3. Touch and hold a message.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Tap the circle/image on the left of the desired messages to select.
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
  6. Tap Delete (located in the upper-right).
  7. Tap Delete to confirm.

Delete all messages

  2. On the Conversations tab, tap a name or phone number.
  3. Touch and hold a message.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Tap All (located in the upper-left).
  6. Tap Delete (located in the upper-right).
  7. Tap Delete to confirm.
