Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Adjust Display Settings

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Display Display settings icon.
  3. Tap the switch for any of the following to turn on Switch On icon or off Switch Off icon:
    Note If necessary, tap each option to configure additional settings.
    • Blue light filter
    • Night mode
  4. Tap Screen mode then select an option (e.g., Adaptive display, Basic, etc.).
  5. Tap Screen resolution, select an option (HD+ 1480x720, FHD+ 2220x1080 or WQHD 2960x1440) then tap Apply (upper-right).
  6. Tap Edge screen then configure any of the following:
    • Edge panels - tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Edge lighting - tap the switch to turn on or off.
  7. Tap the Back icon (upper-left) to return to the Display screen.
  8. Tap Navigation bar then configure any of the following:
    • Hard press Home button - tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Unlock with Home button - tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Navigation type
    • Button layout
  9. Tap the Back icon to return to the Display screen.
  10. Tap Screen timeout then select an option (e.g., 30 seconds, 2 minutes, etc.).
